Travelling and some new cute things

Warning! This is just a "Look, look what I bought, isn't it cute??" kind of post! :P I'm in a crazy good mood today, since yesterday was the last presentation and the last lesson of the year, today last day of work, and in the meantime I had some time to wander around shops.

I stopped by H&M where, the first thing you notice is a million cute present packs of Hello Kitty as angel, golden and christmas-y packaging, all pretty and cheap, great for presents.
Next to the counter I noticed these and it didn't take long after I sniffed (and I sniffed whilst they were closed in their box!) to decide "I WANT THEM... ALL ". So I bought all 3. I'm talking about these special edition lip balms (you can never have too much right?) in Winter Apple, Caramel Fudge and Vanilla Sugar. Delicious, really moisturizing, they neutralize the color of your lips and it gives some glow. Cost = 1,95 euros. They replaced straight away Vaseline in my make up bag.

And talking about make up bags. I have a big case in my bag to keep all the make up, my hand sanitizer ( we live in hard times) etc etc. I told myself I'm not buying any other case unless I find something I love and that I won't settle with something average. THAT was love at first sight and only 3,95! Keeper!Exactly how I imagined it!

Getting in the Christmas mood, we decorated the house and that's a small sample, since we went all the way with socks hanging, a smallest tree in our room, getting out our celebrational table cloths! I even have tissues next to my bed with Christmas theme!

If you want to find out how I made the above origami, click here for the video. Yes, yes, if I can do it, you can do it too! I think I ruined it a bit with the glitter but anyway, I just hid it in the tree haha!

Last but definitely not least, news. My bags are all packed, my camera is empty because I'm flying to London tomorrow! I apologize if my blog will turn into a diary the next 3-4 weeks, I'm just so excited! Wish me luck for my flight ( I want it and need it cause I'm a bit anxious) and I hope the weather will be good. Right now it's snowing there, could this mean I might have White Christmas?? Please God!

What will you be doing for Christmas holidays? Skiing maybe, small trips somewhere with a fireplace?

Instant Glamour

Lately there's been :
lack of new clothes and lack of inspiration.

One easy and cheap thing to do when you're going through that is to play with your hair. I'm still really into big hair and eyeliner. Best way to glam up yourself and look pretty with some 50s feel to it.

So here's an article I found in my files, from an old Glamour (Greece) magazine. The quality of the scans is good, so feel free to click, read, save, whatever you want! This model is so pretty!

I Like

I like when you can experiment with your look.
I like the fact I dare for things I wouldn't normally do.
Like wearing heels in the day just because I feel like it.

Vest : Stradivarious
Shirt : Bershka
Jeans : Zara
Ankle boots : Zara

Or wearing bright pink lipstick. Brings out my rock side.

Mac Fluidline in Blacktrack
Barry M Lip Paint in 146 Dolly Pink

I like delicious dessert after a ridiculously big plate of pasta.

And I like cooking. So check out my new blog here. (link on the side too, click on the pic).I've been baking a lot lately so wait for cookies and apple pie recipe to come.

Like everyone around, I'm on the run for university projects and deadlines, but there's always time for some blogging, right?

Mac Shopping

Shopping feels good!
Luckily it wasn't extremely chaotic when I went to Mac to buy using my Glamour card. Still early, but remembering from last year, I actually feel sorry for the girls there.

My shopping list had pinks and purples, and in general things I wanted to buy for a long time now, and stocking up with foundation and concealer. I didn't have any purple eyeshadows and considering it's one of my favourite colours I had to buy some. And Satin Taupe!! Who doesn't have that?? I got jealous and wanted it! And it really is a pretty colour you can wear again and again.

I think I should ban myself from make up shopping for at least a year with all the things I have now. Focus on clothes and accessories.

Have a nice evening everyone!

A Different Day, a Different Braid - Gossip Girl Inspired #1

They use braids in GG so often that it's almost impossible to keep on track. But I did snapshot about 100 of them so get ready to learn all different kinds. :D

Episode 3x02 The Freshman

Remember this post? That's what Blair's side braid remind me of the way it's twisted. To recreate it, twist the ponytail and then braid, or braid and then twist.

Shirt : Pull&Bear
Vest my sister was going to throw away: Zara Kids (Mairyliscious I thought of you!)
Jean shorts : Stradivarious
Necklace : H&m
Ankle boots : Dexim

NOTD and Xmas is Coming!

It's been so long, I almost forgot how to use blogger! Shame on me.

Nails of the Day : This is one of my all time favourite colours, creamy mauve-pink, you name it. I can't say the same for the nail polish. Cheap of course, but 3 coats to get this?? Not recommended.

I was wandering around shops today and I was happy to get into a shop with a wall full of xmas cuteness! I loved the cookie jars you see on the back and the candles with the clever lid on the front, looking like chocolate with cream and smelling like chocolate too!

I also walked into Mac, swatching 100 colours, preparing myself for the 30% discount from Glamour magazine next week!! Oh, I remembered why I love Mac so much! You can see purple shadows, satin taupe and other colours on my wishlist.

I am searching for a perfect red lipstick and since my Mac shopping list is so big, I went to Hondos to check on some other brands. The one I loved from Mac is Russian Red (Kim Kardashian favourite, click here to see it). Then I found one that looks just like that in Maybelline! It's Lady Red from the new Color Sensationals.

They don't look identical in the photo but I promise they're are very much alike in the reality. The difference is Maybelline is juicier and Russian Red is matte. It' s a shade that will look good on everyone.(Russian Red is the big line in the middle and on it's left it's the Lady Red. Chaos I know!)

I'll buy Maybelline for now and tell you how I find it.Note that will be my first red lipstick. ;)

What's your favourite red lipstick?

Dedicated to Perricone

I wasn't really planning on making a post about that. Of course like many other bloggers I find sometimes things annoying, or things that make me sad but I choose to let them go and ignore them.

This time I felt like writing a small post, not sure if warning is a good word, but definitely something for other bloggers to keep in mind.

I had a while ago a small Perricone giveaway. I've seen a couple other bloggers I follow having the same with different products and I don't know how theirs ended, but I know mine ended badly.

Amanda who won the giveaway never got the sample from them, both her and me tried to contact the company and the person I had the deal with, but, since my giveaway ended SILENCE. They chose to ignore us and I just couldn't let it go. Both for other people that are approached by Perricone, and Amanda, that I put in so much trouble even having to contact them herself.

Of course the giveaway post, that acts at the same time as an advert for them, will be deleted. And of course I won't accept deals like that before, only sticking to my own giveaways.

My apologies again to Amanda and see you later with happier posts. :)

Awards and Other News

... Like the awesome Soap Book my lovely boyfriend sent me from the UK!! It got into my head to make my own soaps ( beauty products obsession in one hand, Lush on the other..) and I couldn't find a book in greek/in Greece. Now, along with the helpful advice of a couple blogs I'll soon attempt to make my first soaps.*excited!!!*
I already read the book, kept notes, searched the whole internet (I've never studied so hard before lol) and next step is to go to the pharmacy and to Ikea for supplies!.... Of course I'll keep you updated!

Talking about books what's better than getting into a book store to find that they have everything on sale, and a million books for 1 pound.Yap, that happened one shiny day in Oxford St and all these books became mine for just 13 pounds! Actual price : around 120! Score!

Of course shopping was postponed for the next day because how can you walk with 10 kilos of books on your hands?! Next day was great too -->

The Oxford St post was a bit irrelevant but I was feeling nostalgic.

Moving to the awards! The little shine star is from Mairyliscious! I love you girl, you always - always have something nice to say to everyone!

And the Kreativ blogger award from Sarah another blog I happen to ADORE because every single post is interesting and pretty and cute, and Kreative (that's why she got the award at the first place!). Sarah is a future travel guide writer, lol, check her entries!

I won't write a million facts about myself again, but I will give some shout-outs to some new blogs I'm following. They're creative and interesting, otherwise I wouldn't be following them, right??
Kreative blogger awards to :

Gimme Smoothies
Lily loves Lola
Meraldia
Superficial Girls
Amy
All the Vanity

Question : Anyone with experience in soap-making? Am I the only crazy girl that wants to start this? Have you ever thought about it?

Ugly Betty Fashion : 4x01 The Butterfly effect

Yay, Ugly Betty is back! New season, new episodes, new mystery, new fashion inspiration! I loved it of course, that's why I took a hundred snapshots.

Check the pink neon bra appearance! It couldn't be on anyone else but Amanda.

One of the funny lines " So, I was at the Gate's last night, and that dad from Jon and Kate Plus 8 was there, I think his name's Ben." LOL

Willie! Gorgeous! Did I say I want to be her when I grow up? :D
(and get an assistant like Mark)

Betty is going to change this season along with her new potition, hair first, braces next. Interesting outfits as usual, notice the dark outfits in one side, and colourful Betty on the other!

And new editor girl Mee-gan, I can relate to her outfits, pretty and simple.

Did you watch? Impressions? What's your favourite character?

Obsession #149987 : Lush

My first, but definitely not last, time at Lush was a bliss! Smiley assistants, personal help and suggestions, gifts, chit chat about make up. By the time I left I was a happy happy customer.

There wasn't ONE product I didn't love.

Karma Soap : Lemongrass, pine, orange and patchouli essential oils in this. I love it. Very refreshing, especially for the morning shower!

The Comforter Bubble Bar : Cypress and bergamot oils, pink colour and many many bubbles will give you an amazing bath. A small piece can easily fill a big bathtub so definitely worth the money.

Buffy Scrub : Ground rice, ground almonds and ground aduki. It's an oily and moisturizign scrub, only bad thing I finished it extremely quickly!

Honey I Washed the Kinds Soap : Their best-seller product was exactly how I imagined it. Good enough to eat! Honey, vanilla scent and so pretty to look at that I don't want to waste it!

Mange Too Massage Bar : Mango butter, fresh bananas, honey, white chocolate, vanilla..... How great does this sound?!! My favourite product!! I'm seriously addicted, it's good enough to eat! I use it as a moisturizer, the same way I use baby oil.

Creamy Candy Bubble Bar : Candy/Vanilla scent

Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly : "Sweetie Pie cleansing shower jelly is made specially to smell like donuts and cherry muffins. We pour tantalizing blackcurrant and bergamot essential oils into a mixture of coconut infusion and skin softening seaweed jelly, along with a helping of purifying cypress oil. We add our secret jelly mixture then mash in sour cherries to give the sweetness a darker side. If you love the smell of You Snap The Whip but prefer to treat yourself less harshly, then Sweetie Pie is the jelly for you."

Mmm exactly like that. I cut it in cubes and kept it in my fridge. It's ridiculously slippery, so I rub it on my sponge 'till it makes enough foam. I used it as a shampoo too! (Funny times in the shower, like I said...slippery!). Really worth its money again since even a cube can take you a long way.

Love Lettuce Mask : It doesn't smell nice but the result will reward you! No lettuce in this exfoliating mask but my skin felt so smooth after each time I was using it (maybe too often!).

Summing up : My massage bar is now making my underwear smell divine, the bath bombs stand next to my sheets and the Honey I Washed the Kids is sitting above my sink acting like a deodorant for the whole bathroom! I'm saving them untill I can buy new ones!

How can you not love all these?

Don't you think we should start signing petitions for Lush in Greece? It's unfair you can find it almost everywhere but here!
